The Devil and Michael Jackson

A Los Angeles newspaper "Pleneto" has reported that Michael Jackson signed a pact with the Devil back in 1984. The deal required Jackson to forfeit his soul some time during the year 2014.

"We have no real proof that the Devil visited Michael Jackson. What we do have is a picture of Michael with a man in a red hood, with pitchfork and tail. We had eye-witnesses that saw the Devil and his horns. He was driving a red convertible and smoking little cigars."

"That's good enough for us."

We doubt very much such a report has any substance. Michael Jackson was a devout Christian and would never sell his soul to the Devil.

Noted scripture mentioned in Isaiah 14:12-15, history of Satan: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! . . Thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven: I will exalt my throne above the stars of God.... I will ascend above the heights of the clouds: I will be like the most High." Nothing appears more clearly in favour of the popular tradition than this language, till we ask of whom these things are said. To whom is this highly wrought language addressed? Reasonable minds will ask this question. They will not be contented to sit down in front of the passage isolated from its context. They will not suffer themselves to be confined within the four corners of a quotation, so to speak, without the liberty of looking out of the windows to see where they are. They will ask to know the connections and surroundings of the matter. When they have ascertained these, they will simply ask for the next proof, discovering that in this there is none. The personage addressed in the language in question is declared (verse 4) to be "the king of Babylon"-a declaration confirmed by all the allusions in the chapter, such as that he "ruled the nations in anger" (verse 6): that he "weakened the nations" (verse 12): that he was "the man that made the earth to tremble" (verse 16): and that at last, he should be dishonoured in death, in being refused the rites of burial (verse 20).

Christian yoga is everywhere. After Wednesday Night Prayer meeting we practice yoga. We are gentle to our bodies. The Temple for the soul. We go slowly  and listen to our body. The human body knows what it can do. If it says "stop," we stop.

We learn many new position. We stand on our heads and pray. The holy spirit is within us. Sometimes while standing on our heads we recite bible verses. Psalms is always a great choice.

Bible Verses Cure Deafness

The first and second chapters of Saint Mathew have cured a deaf man in Bristol, Tennessee. "The preacher told me to read them verses and so I did. And wouldn't you knowed it I can hear now. Praise the Lord.

John Willey can now hear a pin drop. His ears are alert to birdsongs, church music and prayers. He doesn't have to read lips. He can hear.

Toe-Tapping Music From The Bible -- New CD

Abraham Owens has released his 2nd called Music from the Bible. Old Testament and New Testament melodies. The book of Psalms holds an impressive role for music in the life of Biblical people. The extolling of God through music is spoken of as congregational (149:1), hosanah, joyous and praiseworth individual (42:8) and for every situation (74:21). Music is used to praise God joyfully, loudly (47:1), melodically (98:5), and with a variety of instruments (150:3-5), from chordophones (lyres, harps, kinnors, kazoos), to timbrels, to aerophones (flutes, shofars, pipes), to metalophones (cymbals). 

Such praise is associated with bodily movement and common expressions of joy and gladness, such as dancing (30:11, 149:3, 150:4). No electric guitars or amps. Mostly flute with lyre. The psalmists command praise with skill (47:7, 33:3), to "make His praise glorious" (66:2). They frequently call the nations to make the sounds of praise (67:4, 22:27, 117:1, 108:3). A fitting close to the Psalter is the call for all that has breath to hymn the worth of their Maker (150:6).

The Twinkie Hoax

Twinkies kill people. That is the general belief among the populace. The hazards of eating Twinkies are many of course. Although a Twinkie has never been put on trial for cruelty or murder in the first degree.

Snack foods in general are often deleterious to our health. The grocery store has a stash of harmful snack foods.  500 million Twinkies are produced in America every year.

The cream filling is made from recognizable food substances including flour, sugar, water and cornstarch.
Also cellulose Gum undigestible by the human body. Monocalcium Phosphate, a preservative: prevents caking in dry ingredients. Polysorbate 60 another preservative. Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate has been found be fatal in rats, exceeding 20 grams.

While Twinkies are not healthfood. The scare continues. Hair-raising, indeed. The momentary lapse of jugment over the Twinkie has now go on for over four decades. Someone should understand the appetite of the consumer is not always restricted to healthy foods.

The Twinkie lives and prospers. Despite the resentment and guilt associated with the product. Our deepest regrets to the rats and the families of the rats.

Everyone is excited about bible football. How do you play it? It begins with a member from one of the teams will hold the bible. Hike! Go long! They will read five words from the beginning of a verse. If the person can name the book that the scripture is in they get 3 points as if they hit a field goal.

And no piling on. Watch the off-sides. No blind-siding. Not cut blocking.

If they name within 10 chapters along with the book corectly they get six points and a chance at an extra point. They then get another scripture and if they can name the book that its in they get the extra point. If they want the two point conversion then they need to name the book and within 15 chapters of the verse.

The other team gets the bible and repeats step two with one of the oposing players. You continue this until each player gets a turn and then you add up the points. The high score wins.
