I've noticed ebooks are selling on ebay and amazon.com -- prices quite low from a dollar upward to, say, seven dollars or more.

(Sometimes only a single essay or story represent the entire contents of an ebook.)

Ebay will take its ten percent cut.

Hard part is how to market your book so the 18 million consumers at ebay will bite?
